Melissa Dexter

Melissa joined Tiogue Veterinary Clinic in April 2026. Melissa grew up in Coventry so joining this practice feels like coming home. Melissa brings an aray of experience to our practice. Having been in the field since 1995, Melissa has worked in small animal general practices as well as emergency and urgent care hospitals. 

Melissa resides in Smithfield with her husband Mike and son Michael.  When Melissa is not working with animals, she spends time with her own pets - a Pug named Johnny and two Labs Bravo and Liberty as well as her 3 cats, Smokey, Otis and Onyx.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys reading, cooking/baking, playing golf and spending time at the beach during the warm weather.

Melissa looks forward to getting to know the clients and pets of the Tiogue Veterinary Clinic family.
